Launching The Success Academy Business Centre

We are really excited about the opening of our Business Centre at Berkley Office Park on September 1, 2012!  The centre has 40 serviced offices, 5 boardrooms, and a 30-seater training room. With these new offices we will be able to cater for a whole range of business office space requirements. Many small businesses start out from home offices. However, a time comes when having a home office does not provide you with the credibility you need to attract larger clients. When your business gets to this point it would be a good idea to pay us a visit to see what we can offer you. When you rent serviced offices from us you can choose the exact amount of space you require to run your business enabling you to keep your overheads low. You also have peace of mind, knowing that as…

Planting 94 Trees in Honour of Nelson Mandela’s 94th Birthday

Philanthropist and businessman, Charl du Toit, CEO of The Success Academy paid tribute to Nelson Mandela for his 94th birthday by donating and planting trees in Centurion. (Charl with Sam Mngune, Sheli Skosana and Daniel Malebane) “Taking the lead from former President Mandela when he planted the roots of our democracy 18 years ago we felt it would be appropriate to plant 94 trees in his honour. This was done in support of Madiba’s wish that ‘actions speak louder than words’. The trees were planted during the weekend over a period of three hours and our building team gladly gave of their time in support of Mandela Day.  Hopefully the trees will be an ongoing reminder of what he did for the country all those years ago.” (Our building team after planting the trees on Saturday) As a developer and manager of office…

How important is the image of your offices?

There are many factors to consider when deciding where to have your offices. One of them should be answering the question “What message does my office space send to employees, clients and potential clients.” In my view this should not be something that you lightly. Some time back I read this post by Ben Matthews entitled: The PR of Office Space where he made this comment: “There is an office that I walk past often on my way to work, and I have to say that due to its surroundings and not in any way its own fault, it suffers from bad PR just by being positioned where it is.” I absolutely agree. Where your offices are situated including your surroundings and what your offices look like inside play a huge part in how your business is perceived. Charl du…

Looking for an office to let – remember to consider security

This part in our series we are going to look at the need for first class security when deciding where to let an office.   At both our office parks we have ensured that the perimeter is well secured and we have constant patrols to ensure that the perimeter remains secure. We are constantly looking at ways to ensure that we have state-of-the-art security in place and we will be investing in more technology shortly to help bolster our already secure parks.   We have a security checklist of 28 items that gets checked everyday. Included in this, for example, is that we don’t allow any hawkers or vendors into the office parks, and all our on site services, like maintenance of the gardens and buildings are performed by employees of The Success Academy. We also have a daily security…
